Environmental protection and commercial success are crucial issues but not mutually exclusive to each other. RA Bernhard Schmitz and his team are specialists in the field of European and German environmental and aviation law and are engaged principally in advising German and foreign companies in the field of environmental, climate protection and administration law in connection with investment and cooperation projects in Germany and Europe.

The team offers expert advice to the corporate, banking and finance sectors as well as to government departments. This advice covers a wide range of regulatory compliance and liability issues relating to matters such as zoning, waste management, air and water pollution, environmental management and audit systems, health and safety and land contamination under German and EU law as well as under international business law.

RA Schmitz is lecturer in waste, soil protection, water protection and emissions protection law at the TÜV SÜD Academy, Frankfurt and Cologne, Essen, Mannheim, Nürnberg and Munich. He is longstanding Member of the German Society for environmental law and chairperson of Steering Committees.
